It's not the shops fault. It's your insurance companies fault.

The shop can only use what the insurance company pays for. Used and aftermarket junk parts that are damaged and don't fit.

Not the techs fault either. Stop blasting the shop when you chose not to pay for an "oem endorsement" on your insurance.

Workmanship is really bad at this location

I took my truck in on the 7th of June 2021 for hail damage and my car on the 8th June 2021 for hail damage I thought it was my appointments I had fill out paper work on my vehicles got to caliber collision in Elgin Texas and I was no we're in the computer. I was told three times in June my vehicle would be ready it is July I called about the status of my vehicles they said they would be ready wed the 7th of July 2021 the car was not ready they had not repaired to it's fullest the paint had circles were the dents were. that is poor workmanship. went to pick my truck up back window damaged tonneau light damaged tonneau cover light not working

Not happy

Not to happy with this company! Was told my car was being totally as a loss by Allstate took 11 days to get my car back.....finally pick it up to find someone had gone through it and stolen money and items from my car, I called within a minute of picking up my car and had a manager from the location the car had been for 14 days and he said it had to be the towing company said they would get in touch not a word from anyone!!

Dissatisfied Customer

Took one week to fix my truck. Have been waiting an extra 2 weeks for them to get my windshield. Absolutely ridiculous. One excuse after another.

Caliber gave us a low estimate on a simple fix to get us in the door, then jacked it up 43% after they saw my insurance details. I should have gone to a legitimate shop in town but their bid seemed too high based on Calibers low estimate. Caliber's replacement estimate...

Did you get estimates from other shops? How did you know the estimate was a good one?

If your insurance paid then it is all free insurance money to them, and you will probably pay it all back through your increased premiums over the next few years.

And do they cover your loss when you sell the car and this appears on Carfax? The car is forever devalued and you pay this all back one way or another.

I don't think anyone is paying attention to what shops like Caliber does behind the scenes with insurance companies. Everyone thinks it is all free money to them so they don't care, their premiums go up and their options go away.

Look at their estimate and watch them change their costs without telling you anything. They think they get total unrestricted 'Power of Attorney' when you drop your car off, and the Insurance company is fine with that since neither represent you, you are not the customer. Caliber is the customer of the insurance company, not you.

Soon auto insurance will be even worse than health insurance. PAY ATTENTION!

Horrible service

Car to shop for minor fender replacement there 3 weeks what ridiculous problems THEY created no apology or a bottle of water; just left with 4 deflated tires no one could figure out how to put the right amount of air in and radio station has their body shop permanently on my screen!

Complaint on Office Manager Las Vegas NV

This afternoon I was excited and ready to pick up my vehicle after being an a car accident caused by a wrecklace driver. As I entered the office for caliber in Las Vegas off of Ricky Road. A lady up front asked how she could help me. I gave her my husband’s name as the car repairs were noted under his name and she looked it up and automatically said ok it’s going to be $500.00 immediately puts the debit machine on the counter and I saw the amount in the screen. I asked her why $500.00 Progressive said we shouldn’t have to pay there’s a waiver. She (Magenta )is her name said well you should know it’s on our paper work you signed. So right off the bat her comment was unacceptable nor was her snarky tone. I told her ok let me check with my husband the $500 is not an issue but I won’t see that until my settlement for reimbursement. I called my husband and he spoke to Progressive who then called Magenta to notify her there’s a waiver in place. During her conversation I could hear her say ok thank you I’m just checking since there are no notes in the system. That’s a error on Caliber not ours! Once she confirms the waiver with our agent she asks a gentleman in the office to get my car. As I exam my car for the repairs which were great for the record I told him thank you for being so kind and going over the car with me. I told him your front desk needs to be nice like you. He apologized and asked if I wanted the GMs Card his name is Matt by the way. I never got the card as the gentleman came out to tell me he couldn’t give me the info Magenta comes out behind Identifying herself as the Office Manager. She asked if there was something she could help me with or something she could have done better and I told yes, you need to be more sympathetic when it comes to customers walking through that door your approach was very aggressive and inappropriate. I told her we were referred to Caliber by all of our Law Enforcement colleagues and to walk away with this experience is horrible. She automatically said well most customers come in here saying they are not paying and start yelling. I told her at no time was I loud and no time did I say I will not pay. I simply said let me ask my husband if this amount is correct luckily my husband confirmed it was waived. I told her I would no longer entertain This conversation as I would be reaching out to Corporate about her lacking empathy. I understand this is a place a of business for profit but every customer walking is dealing with trauma from our collision and on going treatments and her approach on just wanting to collect ASAP without looking more into details and sarcastic comment of you should of known it’s in your paperwork was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Mrs. Rodriguez wife of Johnny Rodriguez Car picked up 10/8/2020 before 4pm at Las Vegas Ricky Road location. I would appreciate a call back in regards to this matter.

Caliber is tricky with their forms when you drop your car off. I was fooled by trusting them and leaving sections of the form empty since they did not apply.

Such as the claim info etc since we handled the claim ourselves and specifically told them Self Pay when we dropped it off. WATCH OUT. Apparently we signed a section on our drop-off form titled: 'Authorization to Repair' which also slips in a "Power of Attorney". We own the car and already handled the insurance claim before going to the shop, and had the check deposited.

Liberty told us that this 'Power of Attorney' lets Caliber get all kinds of info and it looks like Caliber can do pretty much anything they want and the insurance company will protect them. Even pay for things THEY broke.

Remeber you are NOT the customer. This is business between the insurance company and the body shop, do not get in their way!

I had a similar experience. WE ARE NOT THE CUSTOMER.

We are just in their way. Caliber is the customer of the insurance company. We just break our cars and bring them in. They want to handle everything else, just like health insurance, they do not want us asking any questions!

Leave them alone so they can play with our money and increase our premiums to cover their costs. Oh, and they don't need to tell you anything since they have "Power of Attorney" slipped in on your drop-off form. Remember where they put the x and told you to sign while you were distracted? What, you forgot to bring your lawer to the car drop off?

Then obviously it is all your fault, you gave them total Power so get out of the way and let the insurance company give away money and stop bothering Caliber so they can add suppliments for whatever they want. You will just pay more in premiums to cover it so who cares??

I am disappointed with the service of my vehicle.

I brought my car in on 8-10-20 and I was told it would be ready 8-14. I picked it up on 8-17-20. I noticed on the right side of my car that part of the black rim over the tire was loose. The adjuster took it back to body shop and it was adjusted. Then i noticed some indentations on the same side in the same area. I immediately called my adjuster who advised me to bring it back. I also noticed that my mileage had increased by at least 500 miles. I am sure someone have driven my car! I am very angry and disappointed with the handling of my vehicle. I am prepared to take action. I am expecting Someone to follow up on these matters. Thank You.

WARRANTY ISSUES.

I originally had a repair made by Herb's Paint and Body(a reputable and highly rated company) Herb's was sold to Calibur in 2019. I am having peeling paint. Caliber has told me that they only bought that the buildings several attempts have told me that this is not their problem. I am expecting a call from a John Burch to discuss, but not sure of the outcome. The question is "who is going to honor LIFETIME warranties? I am contacting my major insurance carriers.RUNNRUN

User's recommendation: RUN FROM CALIBER COLLISION AND TELL THE INSURANCE CARRIERS THAT RECCOMEND CALIBER THAT THEY WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY ISSUES. CURRENTLY, I HAVE SEVERAL CARS THAT WERE REPAIRED BY HERB'S/CALIBER. TWO MORE REPAIRS ARE NEEDING FOLLOWUP WITH CALIBER. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. CAN THE ATTORNEY GERNERAL OF TEXAS GO AFTER CALIBER FOR SUBSTANDARD WORK?
